The building proposed is transformable along time and starts its life with the most easy solution. A lobby at the same level of the current station acts like an entrance to the new station, located over the railways. This covered lobby links city areas by means of mechanical stairs, urban stairs and elevators that guarantee accesibility and turn this place in a kind and fluent space.
In a lower level, pedestrian and road access, kiss & ride, taxis, independent bus and parking access, as well as the contact with the city.
Consolidation between neighbourhoods is solved with the station itself, devised as a bridge. In a later phase, a park over the railways will create an open space for relationship. Soft hills as an artificial topography make an organic garden with large voids to eliminate the tunnel effect.
The whole building is covered with a white aluminium skin that provokes shadows, transparencies and reflections into the volume.
The new transport hub in Orense will be a volume with a fragmented scale, easy to understand by the city and its inhabitants, with multiple shades of color and highlights that vary with days and seasons.
